Disneyland Halloween Time

Disneyland Halloween Time 18

We went to Disneyland recently to enjoy Halloween Time. If you’ve never been, this is the magical time of year when Disneyland is covered in pumpkins, fall leaves and so many festive elements that you can’t help but feel wrapped up in the Halloween spirit. All treats… no tricks!

Generally, Disneyland’s rides stay unchanged. However, most notably, this is when The Haunted Mansion flips to The Nightmare Before Christmas, which remains until the first week of January – feeding the debate:

Is Nightmare Before Christmas a Halloween or a Christmas movie? What do you think? Let me know!

In more recent years, Space Mountain has also been changed into Galaxy Ghost something-or-other. In my opinion, it’s just okay. The ghost is really creepy looking but there aren’t enough elements through the ride to make it a “must ride” during Halloween Time.

The absolute best part of Disneyland during Halloween Time are all of the treats and decorations. The whole park is dressed to the nines with pumpkins and other cute fall elements.

One of my top Disney tips is to always look up when making your way through the park and this is especially true during the holidays. You never know what you might see!

Check this out! In the Grand Californian Hotel, they had a baked pumpkin patch. What does that mean? The entire display is made of cake, Rice Krispies, and sugar. It smelled divine! There was also the challenge of finding 13 hidden Mickey Ears on the display, which took up a good 30 minutes of our day.

And of course, there were plenty of photo ops for us!

Ah – I love Disneyland. Until next time!
